To the south of Yalta has settled down one of the brightest sights of Crimea - pendant passenger rope road Mishor - Ai-Petry. It is constructed to rise on the top plateau of one of the most beautiful Crimean mountain pasture, legendary Ai-Petry.

The first stone in construction of rope road have been put in pawn in 1967, but when the unique construction was already practically ready, the fact of a mistake in calculations became obvious: the hung ropes have laid down on rocks. It could be eliminated having cleaned a part of a rock but they couldn’t dare to break beauty of a landscape. It was necessary to alter the project and to make all calculations anew. And only in a few years work have been renewed.

The road was under construction about 20 years. On December 31, 1987 the first passengers of rope road were members of a selection committee. Indelible impression has been made upon them during the rise and in March 1988 there were passengers and tourists.
Since year 2000 restricted liability society «Startinvest» maintains, rents rope road «Mishor – Ai-Petry», spends assembly, repair work and maintenance service.

Unusual transport lifts tourists on soaring in air «track» on height of the birds flight. Cars carefully accept aboard up to 30 passengers and send to a trip passing the bottom site of road with speed of 6 meters a second, and top – more faster -8 meters a second having a body weight of a cabin 1,5 tons! And here you on finish - the corner of rise of car is equal to 45 degrees.

The bottom station of rope road is at height of 86 meters above sea level. And in 15 minutes of rise you will look on Southern Coast of Crimea from height of 1153 meters above sea level (it is a mark of height of the rope road top station). Picturesque panorama of Southeast coast will open to you from Sudak up to Foros. You will see curved back of Au-Dag, a cosy bay and the city of Yalta, cape Ai-Todor and Swallow’s jack, resort settlements: Mishor, Simeis, the city of Alupka. Turquoise of the sea and an emerald necklace of a circuit of mountains will spread to tens kilometers.

Rope road «Mishor - Ai-Petry» have been recognized unique after its opening. It is still unique in the Europe because it has unsupported site in the extent of 1860 meters (between medial and the top stations which divides about two kilometers, there is no basic tower). And it is a European record! Besides, how could you reach transcendental heights so quickly and with the great pleasure?!
Here in the summer to the sum of bright impressions the comfort of a mountain cool is added: temperature of air at top as in the Moscow area - about 7 degrees below than on a beach.

In the winter there is no more convenient, fast, cheerful rise to snow hills on ski. Specificity of the majority of the Crimean enterprises of recreational sphere is that they stop the activity in inter-season period, therefore it is necessary to allocate especially that rope road functions the year round.
Everyone who has decide to make travel on rope road « Mishor – Ai-Petry», expect not only explosion of emotions and an original shock with fascinating feeling of flight, but also the whole set of recreational sights.

Someone will necessarily touch well known Ai - Petry meridian, noted by a sign, with the metal globe on the granite basis with exact geodetic data. Someone, probably, will want to visit a cave of the Three-eye. Someone will go to look at a meteorological station, based in 1895, or will want to sweep on camels and horses. And someone will simple estimate combination seldom meeting nowadays: wild beauty of the nature and a high level of development of an infrastructure, - having embodied it on a photo.
